For instance, cartoon characters (like the kids on the show ‘South Park’) which are animated. Each “kid” needs a voice-actor to give them personalities and to make the show work. There are times when well known actors are used as the voice talent as well, such as Mike Myers or Cameron Diaz, who played key rolls in the “Shrek” movies. Or, it is a specialized voice actor (rather than a screen-actor ) who portrays the characters.
